How to Earn Money with Google Adsense
Earning money with Google Adsense is doable. Many webmasters work from home and you can earn anywhere from a few dollars a day, to hundreds of dollars a day. It's all a numbers game. In order to make money with Google Adsense, you need to have passion to continually write about your niche.
How does Google Adsense work?
Google Adsense works by paying webmasters for clicks. You put an HTML code on your page that shows ads. Each time one of the advertisements get clicked, you are paid a certain amount for that click. The amount paid out per click is based on the industry, the niche and how much competition exists in that niche. The trick to it, the way in which to make money, is to drive a lot of traffic to the website. There are multiple strategies here as well. You could have many websites that are all earning.
Or, you could have one larger website that you mantain. The emphasis is to drive traffic to whatever you build. Also, the more pages you have on your website, the more it enhances your Google ranking. Your goal is to achieve authority status.
How much will I get paid per click?
The amount per click depends on the industry. Once upon a time, the prescription market for instance was a hot niche that paid out quite a bit for clicks. There are still many markets like this that pay out a more significant amount per click. You can find lists of these keywords when searching online. Optimizing for broad keywords vs. laser targeted keywords
When you are building your website content, you will need to optimize title tags, keywords tags and description tags. The above keywords are referred to as 'Broad keywords.' If you're optimizing for these broad keywords, it will be more difficult for you because there are millions (even billions now) of other websites on the Internet. In order to be effective in search engine optimization efforts, you will need to focus your efforts and optimize for long keyword phrases. By doing so, you can also still eventually rank for the broader keyword. For example, if we look closer at insurance, there is car insurance. Then there is classic car insurance. Then there is classic car insurance companies. See how we add on an extra word to each keyword phrase. Keyword phrases that are longer, by each word eliminate more competition from the potential search results.
Now, the trick to this is also to use targeted and relevant keywords. Try using a mind mapping method. Write the primary keyword your website is about on the board. Now, put more ideas on the board about what that keyword is about. For instance, say our subject is ice skating. We're now writing all kinds of relevant keywords on the board - ice skates, ice skate rental, ice rinks, etc. Each keyword we write on the board has sub-categories, more keywords that fall under that one.
